Auto-update modules or have admin notified of available updates?

I asked this upstream, but I got no response there. I noticed there were updates for my modules in the FreeScout module settings page, but they didn't auto-update or send a notification at all. I'm wondering if it's a bug or not.

Let's see what they respond upstream then, for our instance we also don't get any kind of notifications.

Finally got a response upstream but it’s a dead end.

Unfortunately there is no such possibility and no plans to implement it.
