    Hi,

I have a minio app on a dedicated cloudron for my secondaries backups (i make VM backups too). At the moment i test the solution to replace scaleway object storage (because i have frequently backup tasks crashs) to backup all my others cloudron.
How cloudron performs the backup of minio when it IS updated ? Are the datas backuped too ?

I am working on reproducing this since there were a couple of reports about Scaleway failing.

@girish if i want app backup only, without datas i need to mount a volume to stock datas, that's right ?

@darkben that's correct in general. But I think in minio's case, the data and database (metadata) are "together". You cannot store them separately.

You can also just disable backups of minio app altogether and take a snapshot of the Cloudron VM (in which minio is located) regularly.

    FYI @girish :
I was having frequent backup failures with Scaleway as the destination.
Originally the backups were timed at 2am
Then I moved them to 3am as a test, then 4am etc etc
Since they have been running at 6am (about a week), I have not had a failure.
Maybe early days to be reliable experience, but thought I would mention it.

    No idea why 🤷

@timconsidine I have been backing up to scaleway on NL region ~10 days or so and haven't hit any issues. I will switch to Paris and see.
