I was not able to reproduce this issue.
With a fresh install the login admin@cloudron.local and changeme worked with the login button or just pressing ENTER.
Please check your browser console and app web logs if you see any errors.
Also, worth a try to change the browser and try it there.
Always have to ask, did you clear your cache or tried in a private / incognito mode window?
