RE: Ghost updates failed, had to use a 2 week old backup
Hey @murgero yea it did take just some seconds to start up. But the problem is the issue keeps occuring after a few hours of inactivity on the site (maybe the server is sleeping or restarting?). I thought this would just be a quick question, but another thread is a good idea.

Using Cloudron OpenVPN
Hi guys, can you pls help me understand more about the process of installing & using Cloudron OpenVPN. I’ve done the reading of the docs, some demoing & trying to make it clear in my mind. (this post is a bit longer than usual)
So we start by installing the app on any existing domain on Cloudron, then use the Cloudron admin username & pw to login -> create a new device -> download the .ovpn zipped.
We put the .ovpn into The Network Manager OpenVPN plugin, which only works for Ubuntu 16.04, not 18.04 or Windows?
In this way, when browsing the web on the computer (with .ovpn zipped added), our Cloudron server IP/location & rDNS hostname (my.cloudrondashboard.com) may be collected. Is this way safe?
Hi, can you please help see if this is the correct process to install Commento on Cloudron. So I install the app on a subdomain of Cloudron dashboard domain > go to that link & create Commento profile > add code to website. And that’s all there is to it?!
Self hosting the app this way, does it require a subscription? How can we send email notif. with it also?
Many thanks for any help in advance!
RE: How to check port status?
Hi, thanks for that basically my setup is on netcup VPS. I usually use PuTTy ssh to connect on windows. I ran the command in the post you sent:
sudo lsof -i -P -n | grep LISTEN. I saw a list of nginx, docker-pr, sshd... & was able to see the numbered ports.
Some emails I receive but some from other sites (like confirmation, pass reset email) don’t seem to go through so I wanted to check for the ports.
How to check port status?
Hi guys, from your experience, how can we check the status of the email ports
The following TCP ports must be opened in the firewall for Cloudron to receive email:
Inbound and Outbound Port 25
Inbound Port 587 (SMTP/STARTTLS)
Inbound Port 993 (IMAPS)
Inbound Port 4190 (ManageSieve for email filters)
