High memory usage and slow Cloudron after reboot for update
-
Hello everyone,
I’m on Cloudron v8.2.3 (Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS). I’m using Hetzner, vServer, CPU2 Core "AMD EPYC Processor”, Memory 2.01 GB RAM & 2.03 GB Swap
Last night system noticed to reboot for updates. This morning I rebooted system and since that reboot I’m unable to use and memory usage went very hight.
Also the only app (VPN) started using 20% CPU (instead of 0,2%)
Did you experienced problem like this?
Thanks for your help
Edit: I restored a previous backup of VPN and it seems that problem is related to VPN app install and last security reboot of Cloudron istance (Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS). I'm on io.cloudron.openvpn@2.3.1... I simply restored an old backup and seems to work better, even if Cloudron instance memory occupation seems to be high, not as usual...
Edit2: Isp answered that issue seems to be related to a routing problem to Germany, on hops over which Isp have no control. Maybe System Memory increased usage could be related to this issue? Eg, with increased waiting times...?

For a start, is the VPN app up and running and usable? Just asking if the reason is not that it just keeps restarting.
@nebulon Everything was operational, even VPN, but very slow and unresponsive.
Isp asked this:
To help us investigate further, we kindly ask you to provide us with traces from a program like MTR. Please ensure that the trace includes over 200 packets in both directions (client -> server; server -> client) during the time the issue occurs. Our network department requires traces in BOTH directions (client -> server and server -> client) to accurately analyze your issue.
How I can perform this test vis Ssh? Can you help me?

Not sure what they are asking for tbh. Have you looked at the system with tools like
top
to figure out what may cause the cpu load? -
