    FreeScout package now supports OIDC , yay!

    • You have to purchase the module - https://freescout.net/module/oauth-login
    • Activate this in your FreeScout and restart the app. That's it, it will auto configure.

      Does it still support the current LDAP?

        Yes, both OIDC and LDAP will continue to work (since existing LDAP users might choose not to buy the module)

          New installations will recommend the OIDC module explicitly though to not confuse users.

            @girish
            Is it possible to disable autoconfigure?
            We use an external one, and it's overwriting our configuration.

              @rnphil as in , you use OIDC plugin with some other external OIDC?

              Do you still use the LDAP?

                @joseph
                We use the FreeScout OAuth module connected to Google, and we do not use LDAP. However, every time we restart our Cloudron instance, the provider settings reset back to "Custom OAuth Provider" with the name "Cloudron."

                    @rnphil I think the issue is that you have installed Freescout with Cloudron user management. Because of this, it takes ownership of the OIDC provider settings and reconfigures the OIDC provider . If you go to Location section of FreeScout, I guess it says "Cloudron User management" (instead of "Dashboard visibility".)

                    You can try this:

                    • take a backup of your current freescout and download the backup configuration file (it's a button to the right of the backup).
                    • make a new installation of freescout alongside the existing one. when you install , make sure to select "Let the app manage it's own users"
                    • Then, app -> backup -> import . put the backup configuration file from step 1

                    I think that should sort it out. If everything works, just move your existing install to some other domain and move the new one to the correct location .
