The full error in the UI is:
Invalid server configuration: Firefly III is unable to format monetary amounts because your server is missing the required packages. There are instructions how to do this.

The error in the logs is:

[2026-11-06 19:04:29] local.ERROR: Could not set locale. The following array doesnt work: ["en_GB.utf8","en_GB.UTF-8"]

I ran "locale -a" within the Firefly III terminal:

    root@################:/app/code# locale -a
    C
    C.utf8
    POSIX
    en_US.utf8

It seems that the necessary locales haven't been installed. There is an issue on GitHub about missing locales on docker: https://github.com/firefly-iii/firefly-iii/issues/9070, but this is reported as resolved. I've hit a blank as to where the bug is.

    Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Fix is coming to support all locales upstream sets in the Dockerimage: https://git.cloudron.io/packages/firefly-iii-app/-/merge_requests/69

Latest plackage version now has those locales installed.

I can report that with the latest update, the formatting is correct and all errors have disappeared.

          Thanks @nebulon.
