RCON Access possible?
-
@kn0rr0x I just checked the 3 Minecraft apps in the app store and they all only come with the server port and not the rcon port.
Meaning even if you set the rcon port and enable it cloudron will not allow connections to that port since it has not been setup.Maybe @atridad can bring some light into this since he developed the Minecraft Forge Server and might know whats going on.
-
@brutalbirdie it just never occurred to me that it would be important. At least for the forge package anyways, I can add it.
-
@atridad I guess when adding this feature it should be consistent for all 3 minecraft apps.
-
@brutalbirdie I do think so too. A lot of Minecraft server owners use RCON for management.
-
-
@brutalbirdie Yes, you're right. There are many rcon tools. Yes, they only need the open port.
-
I have just published a new package for the java edition which has rcon now enabled. If you update, you may have to enable the RCON_PORT in the app configs and also adjust the
server.properties
file accordingly.Based on feedback I will write up the docs then.

ok I published a new fixed package and revoked that broken version. If you already have updated and thus lost some settings, please restore to the previous version and then should be able to safely update to the fixed package, as the revoked one will not be provide anymore.
