@kn0rr0x I just checked the 3 Minecraft apps in the app store and they all only come with the server port and not the rcon port.
Meaning even if you set the rcon port and enable it cloudron will not allow connections to that port since it has not been setup.

Maybe @atridad can bring some light into this since he developed the Minecraft Forge Server and might know whats going on.

@brutalbirdie it just never occurred to me that it would be important. At least for the forge package anyways, I can add it.

@atridad I guess when adding this feature it should be consistent for all 3 minecraft apps.

@brutalbirdie I do think so too. A lot of Minecraft server owners use RCON for management.

Not sure I get this, but do we simply have to open the port and the minecraft java or bedrock edition would bind and provide some remote configuration interface there?

@nebulon only the port in the CloudronManifest.json and automated setup in the server.properties we do not need to provide an RCON tool with a webinterface.

@kn0rr0x If I remember correctly there are many rcon tools out there and server manager just need the open port for their tool right?

@brutalbirdie Yes, you're right. There are many rcon tools. Yes, they only need the open port.

I have just published a new package for the java edition which has rcon now enabled. If you update, you may have to enable the RCON_PORT in the app configs and also adjust the server.properties file accordingly.

Based on feedback I will write up the docs then.

@nebulon Does not work for me. And server.properties gets overwritten every start.

ok I published a new fixed package and revoked that broken version. If you already have updated and thus lost some settings, please restore to the previous version and then should be able to safely update to the fixed package, as the revoked one will not be provide anymore.
