@scooke I gave the demo a quick run and creating variations is a PITA. I didn't see any bulk edit options. The app seems nice for a simple store though. Any idea how we can edit the front-end (theme)?

Depending of what you expect, that might be not the tools you are looking for. Such as if you want a database or back end to manage your product, I the Cloudron ecosystem you could already find Directus. Strapi and Cockpit might also something good to look at.

Because for me MedusaJS seams to compete with a very specific tier of Shopify, the entry one where you use Shopify as a back end and use WordPress or Gatsby or NextJS as frontend.

That's what the vast majority of all eCommerce websites are: WordPress + WooCommerce.
