WPvivid Won't restore my WordPress site
-
When I upload my wpvivid backups through the wpvivid plugin, everything goes well. The zipped files are uploaded. When I tell it to restore the upload, it goes okay, but seems to go too quickly and ends without error.
However, the website is not restored. All the plugins are uploaded, but none of the pages, posts, or theme is restored. Again, it throws no errors.
Is this a permission error? Has anyone else had this problem? Can someone help me to fix this issue please?
Thanks

@cloudpatron are you using the WP Managed app or the WP Developer app ? Is there any obvious error in the logs ?
-
@cloudpatron sure, https://docs.cloudron.io/apps/#log-viewer . Also, please tell us which app you are using as there are two WP apps. If you go the Update section of the app, you can check the "appstore id" there.

@girish You know, I just found out about the difference between the managed and the developer versions of WP. I deleted the managed version, installed the developer version, and I'm trying again.
I'll let you know in about 10 minutes. By the way, thanks for answering my call.

@cloudpatron Okay everyone. I think that solved the problem. I had no idea there were two versions of WP. Talk about panic.
Thanks for you help all!

@cloudpatron
Hello, I'm having the same problem and in my case, nothing is changed.
Please share the solution with me. I've looked for the developer version of wp vivid but haven't found it. Many thanks. -

Just from witnessing what happens here in the forums, the "Managed" one (which is the one that comes up first if you search WordPress in the app store) would be better off called the "Broken" one.
It's so different to the normal environment most people in the WordPress space are used to that it's only role seems to be generating lots unnecessary support requests.

No, you want the Developer version of the Cloudron WordPress app, instead of the "Managed" (aka so locked down it doesn't actually work) version.
In the app store, choose WordPress (Developer) instead of just WordPress
This distinction seems to serve only to confuse people and leads to all sorts of headaches. IMHO the managed WordPress shouldn't exist and only the WordPress (Developer) app should be in the app store.
Or, at the very least "WordPress (Developer)" ought to be renamed to just "WordPress", and the existing managed WordPress app, which is currently called just "WordPress" should be renamed to "WordPress (Managed)" and a message should be added to the install page warning them that they probably want the unmanaged one that actually works, not the locked down one that mostly just doesn't.
