Looking for Mastodon/Fediverse relays to join... how do you DM people now??

Hi!
I recently installed an entirely fresh instance of mastodon due to some weird unsolvable upgrade+backup glitch with the previous one. The domain and everything is the same. Does anyone have or know of a relay I can add?

Speaking of which, I used to have a relay from @doodlemania2 but in this new one I'm still Pending renewal. I decided to DM him... but how do I do that now in this new forum??

I have reenabled the chat now @scooke . Seems more people were using this.

@girish Ah, thank you. I used it just enough times to be grateful for it, although it wasn't super often (usually to ask someone a detail that they may not want public).

@scooke I suppose that mostly depends on which content you want in your instance's timeline, e.g., depending on a specific geographic area or a language.

In addition to the regular relays, you should certainly take a look at https://relay.fedi.buzz/

P.S.: I recommend not adding too many relays at a time. Maybe start with three and check the impact on storage and sidekiq processes before you proceed with adding more.
