Kutt 3.0
-
Kutt got a pretty fantastic update . This is published as a major package update and you have to click update button to make it update. Be sure to have a backup, many things have changed.
Of things which are important to us (selfhosting):
- Removed React and Next.js, TypeScript
- Removed anything Google. Yay, no more accessing 3rd party fonts
- Can create admin now with registration disabled. This means that we can now not worry about having kutt registration enabled by default and worry about admins forgetting about it.
- Added support for SQLite and MySQL/MariaDB . Too late for us, we are stuck with a db...
- Made Redis optional . Also too late, we already use redis
- Made Enabling and sending emails optional
Please sponsor the upstream dev. Currently, he only takes bitcoin though.
-
NIce, was finally released! Been watching it for a while. Excited about the dop of google dependencies

Thanks for the post @girish.
Can you update the documentation as well?
DISALLOW_REGISTRATIONis true by default now.ADMIN_EMAILSis removed.- Admin panel is added, so this part is no longer true: "Note that there is no separate admin section..."
DEFAULT_MAX_STATS_PER_LINKis removed, there's no limit anymore.
