    Hello everyone,

I'm having an issue with FreshRSS where I get the error message "The requested URL returned error: 403" when trying to check certain Rss feed.

This seems to happen when the website owner put some restrictions in place that prevent from accessing and verifying the feed.

I was wondering if anyone has found a workaround or solution to this problem? Are there any settings in FreshRSS that could help bypass this error?

Or are there perhaps alternative methods to import such "protected" RSS feeds?

Any suggestions or insights would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks a lot

@joseph hello Joseph, maybe I formulate wrong question.

Site owner blocked the source IP of the RSS bridge instance and so, server generate 403 error (forbidden), FreshRss instance is unable to check that specific RSS feed.

@p44 oof. can't think of any way to overcome IP block without some https proxy somewhere else (and freshrss has some https proxy settings). I wonder if there is some novel way to overcome this 🤔 Does the site have IPv6?

In changedetection.io, eg., is possible to use an external proxy, eg. Oxylabs or something like this. Do you think is it possible to apply an app base system like this? Could be interesting to develope in future something like this, to avoid Ip blocking or something like this. Anyway, @joseph, if you have any ideas, welcome 🤗
