I'd like to make a correction to the docs, but couldn't find its repo on git.cloudron.io

      I'd like to correct
      https://cloudron.io/documentation/domains/#changing-the-dashboard-domain

      Correction:

Change adminDomain to the domain added above.

      Original:

Change adminFqdn to the domain added above

      Also,

Change adminFqdn to my.example.com, where example.com is your new domain.

      might provide more clarity than

      Change adminFqdn to my.example.com

Thanks for the suggestion, I will put those in-place. Generally the docs are at https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/docs

@nebulon said in How to suggest edits to the official documentation?:

Generally the docs are at https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/docs

Is that the best place to add issues/ suggest changes?

I'd like to contribute to improving documentation in various places (not just in the documentation docs) 🙂

eg. in the notifications about email set-up it would've been handy if it mentioned right there in the notification what it mentions once you visit troubleshooting, i.e.

The PTR record is set by your VPS provider and not by your DNS provider.. For example, if your server was created in Digital Ocean, you must go to Digital Ocean to set the PTR record.

There are similar little things that would've my life a tiny bit easier (you've already made my life SO much easier and I totally love Cloudron so thanks!) that I'd like to suggest too 🙂

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

Since we hardly get any contributions as such, the forum is currently a good place to suggest improvements like those. Please create a new topic with the specifics you wanted to have changed, so we can discuss those there.

@jdaviescoates You are welcome to suggest merge requests to https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/docs if you have lots of minor changes (and it feels painful to open a forum thread/suggestion).
