    Hello dear Cloudron Users

Currently, https://hub.docker.com/ and Quay.io are reporting a full service disruption.
This will result in errors when you install a new app or update an app.

You can track the outage over the status pages:

Unfortunately there is nothing we as the Cloudron Team can do to fix this issue and can also just wait.

Thank you all for understanding and your patience.

    ~ Your Cloudron Team

A bit disappointing. Cloudron is truly completely selfhosted but we still have to rely on Dockerhub/Quay at the end of the day for new app installations and app updates. I wonder how this can be solved. We will need a distributed docker registry storage.

The irony is we added Quay as a fallback to Dockerhub. Who knew it was just more of the same!

Do you know how much load and traffic there is? Could this be solved with a few synced Cloudron Docker Registry apps with round-robin balancing?

We looked at https://github.com/uber/kraken and might consider it.
Having something like this optionally on each Cloudron instance would make Cloudron more independent and decentralized.

It looks like it is getting better.

I had also problem with Todoist that was completely hosted on AWS... so this problem is affecting (or affected) also other services.

Thinking again to move to Vikunja even if missing different things...

Looks like things have been resolved by now for quay and dockerhub.

Time to move it to the DHT, served by the peers.
