Mail app Feature Request: add no split screen option (and horizontal/ vertical options for those that like splits)

I've never liked split-screen UIs and would much prefer a Gmail-like interface, like in SnappyMail:

Please add an option to enable this (and horizontal/ vertical options for those that like splits), e.g.

SnappyMail was getting too buggy and unmaintained. I tried Tachyon and some of the bugs that bugged me are still there. So I've already moved to using Mail which is in many way by far the best option now!

Once it's got the no split option and a bigger default compose window it'll almost be perfect!

BTW, can people not on Cloudron use it too?

The mail will only work on Cloudron as it depends on platform features which imap/smtp/sieve do not support. That was one of the reasons we started a new mail app to begin with, so we can offer better integration which will not be possible otherwise.
