Any updates on this? Would love to be able to host my own unifi controller within cloudron.

Yes, this would be great. However, multi-tenancy might present some challenges due to the service ports required by the Unifi Controller, especially for device discovery. That said, as long as L3 adoption is implemented (e.g. via DNS or DHCP option), using a dedicated custom set of ports for each instance should work fine.

@neoplex I lost the code to this a while ago, but I could be convinced to give it another go - I almost had it working before, and since I've grown a lot as a developer since my initial attempt, I may get it working.

IIRC, @nebulon also gave it a try at some point but he hit some roadblock. Maybe it was related to port count feature?

Last time I checked they required a very specific mongodb version, but also the selfhosting was deprecated. Maybe that changed though. Looks like it is now called "UniFi Network Server" https://www.ui.com/download

For those who have TP-Link Omada this https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/9400/tp-link-omada-controller is much easier to install as app I guess? 😜

Has anyone worked on this in silence? If not, will port it 🙂

@girish This is a bit more complex as it needs to tie into mongodb and has a bunch of ports that have to be mapped. Generally, are you guys interested to move it to the appstore, once tested and stable? This isn't an open source app, so I am assuming, not? If that's the case, will just port it and set it up as a community app with a separate build pipe.

To note: there is now a Unifi OS, superseeding the Unifi Network Application.
                        Please see here:

                        • https://help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/34210126298775-Self-Hosting-UniFi

The OS server version includes Network, Identity, and InnerSpace. Protection is not yet in there but I guess it will join sometime in the future.
I went through this rabbit hole because I was annoyed at UNA having buttons leading to nowhere for the past few versions. This did not give me the best feeling about the status of UNA as a standalone application, so I made the jump and converted to UOS.
So far, no complaints and... buttons work.

While there is nothing official docker-wise as far as I can tell, there have been quite a few successful docker/container implementations.
