I'm using the Unmanaged WordPress app for a dozen or so sites, and I've removed the redis plugin from them as I have no use for redis in my sites, but I see that redis is still taking up memory on my system. Is there a way for that to be disabled?

Currently, they cannot be disabled/stopped. I guess we need something like "optional addons" which we currently lack. Similar to how LDAP gets optionally integrated into an app.

@girish Having this optional would definitely be great, as I see it taking up memory (albeit maybe not too much), and it's 100% unnecessary in my case - I'd love the ability to disable it system-wide.

@d19dotca did you ever find a way to disable redis for your managed WordPress apps? We have over 50 sites and not a single one uses Redis, however they still consume memory...

Hi @girish has this been released yet? Can't seem to find where to disable it if so 🙂

@dylightful Not yet. It's implemented, but we didn't merge into 7.4. So, we will put it in 7.5.
