I'm using the automated Cloudflare DNS setup and Cloudron is not adding a record for the root domain. It's blocking me from setting up Matrix federation because it queries .wellknown at the root domain. I could add it manually but I am using a dynamic DNS so Cloudron needs to keep it up to date. Is this a bug or intended functionality for some reason?

@zjuhasz (I just tested this now with a domain on Cloudflare and it works for me. So, I think the problem is something else). Did you install matrix synapse server on a subdomain? If so, Cloudron will not setup the root domain record. This is intentional because the root domain record can be in use on another server/app/website. Where is your root domain hosted? If you have nothing there, you can just install some app there or redirect an existing app (Location -> Add Redirection) and it will setup the root domain record. After you do that, you can create a .well-known file on the server like https://cloudron.io/documentation/apps/synapse/#step-21-setup

          Right, that makes sense.

I added a redirect from the root domain and it solved all my problems. Thanks for the quick help.
