Navidrome is now available

Hi all,
Navidrome is now available in the app store. I packaged it quickly for testing the volume features coming up with Cloudron 6 - https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/3205/what-s-coming-in-6-0-take-2/22 .It's marked as unstable at the moment. Just a heads up, I think the app is only easily more useful if you can attach your existing music collection. For now, you can always upload things into
/app/data/library
using the file manager. Note that anything you put in /app/data is backed up.Code: https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/navidrome-app.git

Cover art is not loaded correctly, have to investigate why.
Embedded (in an mp3) art is shown:

@necrevistonnezr yes, I was mistaken thanks for testing. The mp3 I was testing had no tag information!

Love this!
Just starting playing with it and seems to work great so far - much prefer the user interface of this to Rhymbox on my Ubuntu laptop so I may have to try installing Cloudron on an old machine to run this locally!
(I'm now wondering what the minimum specs for a Cloudron install are? Could I run it on my old Samsung SNC10 netbook?)

This looks great! I wont be switching over because I do like having all of my media in one place (emby right now) but crossing my fingers for Plex.
-
Nice! I can see an alternative use-case for this with sample-pack libraries for music producers. Maybe worth adding something into the App description for that for SEO value.

I like the idea of using the open source fork of Emby, Jellyfin, which we've got on Cloudron, but the learning curve is too high - when I installed it I couldn't even work out how to get media into it.
I should probably give @mehdi's River app a go (which packages Jellyfin with a load of other stuff to make it more useful) but I've so far not even tried installing any custom apps...
And maybe now we've got the File Manager it's easier to get data into Jellyfin now, so perhaps I'll re-install it and have a play around again.
But for now loving Navidrome (we mostly watch video content using a cheap old projector which has no networking capability anyway, I just download stuff onto a microSD card).
Just for fun I'm currently listening to the two test albums I uploaded streamed to my phone, playing using Ultrasonic Android app and bluetooth connected to my hifi

@jdaviescoates
AFAIK, the Samsung SNC10 netbook only has a 32-bit processor, so would need Ubuntu Server to be available for 32-bit. -
@jdaviescoates the only reason I donβt is the lack of smart TV apps and the bad iOS app
-
@atrilahiji given I don't have (nor have any intention to ever have) a smart TV nor any apple devices those are not issues for me
-
@jdaviescoates Fair enough. I figured it was more of a me issue

I moved the translation discussion to a separate thread - https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/3583/translations-for-cloudron and some of the Cloudron 6 releated stuff to https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/3205/what-s-coming-in-6-0-take-2
