Can't create users called guest

Also, whenever I try to create a user with the username 'guest' it tells me:
Found an existing account for this e-mail address or nickname.
But there are no other users so that's a but confusing.
It did let me create a user called 'ilovetoread' - I wonder why 'guest' isn't allowed?
