    I am experiencing a very strange WordPress behaviour and I think it's buggy because I have been using WordPress for more than a dozen years.

    This is the behaviour roughly:

    WordPress is installing on my Cloudron instances but intermittently shows reduced items abvailable in the menu - for example not showing plugins, themes, etc.

    After a bit of thought - this must be a permissions issue, but as far as I know, I am logging in with an admin user like I always have.

    I am perhaps a bit mixed up because I have been away from the Cloudron environment for about 5 months so not 100% clear how permissions work vis-à-vis the main Cloudron admin, the WordPress admin, etc.

    If I can clear this up myself I will add to, or close, this topic, but I could use some clarrification on the matter because either I am experiencing a bug, or something is misconfigured, and codebases are so much in flux these days that I would like to be sure.

    Thanks.

    @wexlerj I have multiple WP sites (developer) on CR and I'm not experiencing the same issue. Do you have any non-standard settings set for your install? custom htaccess, etc.?

    Which CR and Ubuntu versions are you running?

    @humptydumpty

    Hi.

    Nothing non-standard that I know of. It is all being run on DigitalOcean and I am in Montréal where everything is in French so something strange may have been introduced.

    I will do some digging and follow up here.

    I am definitely experiencing this issue no doubt.

    Thanks regardless.

    @wexlerj it sounds most likely that you're just logged into the WordPress with a user that is not an Admin on the WordPress.

    I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

    @jdaviescoates Yes you are right thanks. I guess I got confused because I feel it's strange that users from Cloudron are not fully carried over to WordPress instances if you understand what I mean, although I still may need a bit more of a refresher.

    Actually, with all the devlopment work going on, it is a wonder anyone can keep all their crucial security information up to date.

    Thanks for the help - this topic is closed as far as I am concerned.
