I don't understand Linode install of cloudron
-
I now have 2 VPS hosts set up on my linode account.
I want to install Cloudron on my 2nd newest VPS hosting server as I did on my first hosting server.(I've needed lots of help & docs this first week of opening up a Linode account)
But now I want to install Cloudron in my second VPS.
However when I access this account and look through its configurations and DNS etc I then click Marketplace in the lefthand menu.
I click on Cloudron. But the following confuses me.
it is asking for information that I thought is automatically filled in while I think I am ONLY in the dashboard view of my 2nd vps.I only see the label name of my first instance and it is asking for information that was used for installing a VPS.
Cloudron install wants to know my region choice, wants me to choose a VPS account config of ram, cpus, etc. And the SUBMIT button says it is going to CREATE A LINODE.Why doesn't LINODE offer me a way to specify that this Cloudron application is to be installed inside my chosen VPS Linode server? NOT overwriting the Cloudron inside my first VPS package?
I have no confirmation before Submitting for the Cloudron image to be installed WHERE it is going.
I have no confirmation that it is not going to give me a brand new standalone VPS in Linode with Cloudron as the base application.
How do I confine different applications to be installed in the directory of the VPS I am choosing to install into?

@debossnow On Linode, the marketplace has virtual machine "images". Images, by design, can only by used by creating new servers. So, when you use linode marketplace, you always have to create a new linode (new VPS). There is no way to install things into an existing VPS. Does that clarify?

Just to re-iterate. This is not possible with linode marketplace images, it's not designed to work that way. You cannot choose "app x" and say install it in this existing VPS. Each app always installs on a fresh linode.
