XBackBone is a simple and lightweight PHP file manager that support the instant sharing tool ShareX and *NIX systems. It supports uploading and displaying images, GIF, video, code, formatted text, pdf, and file downloading and uploading. Also have a web UI with multi user management, media gallery and search support.

@girish ha! I've had that post open in a tab for ages as a reminder to create this wish list post but you've beaten me to it, thanks!

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

Sounds a bit like one can operate its own 'mega.nz' like service. That's a pretty cool and useful app.

This was super trivial to install on the LAMP app. Let me see if I push a package, seems to support LDAP as well.

Anyone know if there is a firefox extension for this? I couldn't find one.

@LoudLemur @jdaviescoates Pushed an initial version.

SMTP and LDAP integration are pending.

@girish It works! Thank you very much. I think this is a very widely wanted self-hosting tool.

I tried to follow the guide for configuring the script for GNU+Linux here:

                    https://xbackbone.app/clients.html

After the chmod, the next command resulted in the following error:

                    ./xbackbone_uploader_admin.sh -desktop-entry
                    jq command not found.
                    xclip command not found.

(I am trying to get XbackBone to work with Spectacle, the screenshot tool.)

                    SOLVED

For this to work, some dependencies are required, and people may need to install the following packages:

                    xclip curl notify-send jq

Haha! I feel the power already!

This is fantastic, @girish! Cloudron just made self-hosting images a cinch. It is quite funny that most of the world doesn`t know this yet, but hopefully they soon will!
