i.e. mimic the behaviour of desktop file apps.

I've got a folder with lots of folders inside it. After I create a new folder (which I then want to go into and upload a file into) I then need to manually scroll and find the folder. This significantly slows me down when having to do it repeatedly.

If there was a WebDAV interface, one could manage the folder structure from your file manager.

Have you tried dragging in a folder tree into the FM?

Good idea. That was slightly easier/ faster. Putting the file into a folder locally and then dragging the folder.

But actually even better for me (I'm always on a laptop and tend to have all apps full screen and so I'm not someone that often drags things from one window to another) was to just create the folder locally and then upload the folder. I'll do that from now on, don't know why I didn't think to do before anyway 🤦

@jdaviescoates click-hold for drag, then alt-tab works too.

Thanks. Although I don't seem to be able to drop it nicely into the folder without scrolling for miles down to below all the existing folders, and so the Upload folder option still seems best for my workflow with this particular task.

@jdaviescoates uh, yeah, for that you may need to use ctrl-f to find what you're looking for first, then the above.
