I'm running Traccar via Cloudron and trying to connect a ThinxNet LMU30G600.

The CalAmp protocol uses port 5082 over UDP, so the device packets don't reach Traccar.

    root@cloudron:~# tcpdump -v port 5082
    17:31:47.780025 IP (tos 0x0, ttl 112, id 3, offset 0, flags [none], proto UDP (17), length 217)
        lte-out-ml01.sipgatewireless.de.20510 > my.<cloudrondomain>.5082: UDP, length 189

I tried to enable TCP by !RP,2321,1,0, but the tracker responded with ERROR.

Is it possible to also expose port 5082 as UDP by configuration?

Hello @edelbims and welcome to the Cloudron Forum

We will have to create an app update for the traccar app to support the calamp protocol and port.
This app update will be available soon.

        Hello @edelbims
We have released the app update for the traccar app.
Now the calamp protocol with port 5082 is included.
Check the app location setting to enable this port.

Hey @james, thanks a lot for your quick help! Unfortunately port 5082 is exposed for TCP but not for UDP:

          root@cloudron:~# sudo docker ps
CONTAINER ID IMAGE COMMAND CREATED STATUS PORTS NAMES
          7a593b43c164   cloudron/org.traccar.cloudronapp:202603082047210000   "/app/pkg/start.sh"    36 minutes ago   Up 36 minutes   0.0.0.0:5082->5082/tcp, [::]:5082->5082/tcp   59d087c4-3c2c-4415-a93e-1d729f90b2ce

As you can see in the previous post, my CalAmp device isn't TCP capable.

              Hello @edelbims
I see, CalAmp is a binary protocol that requires UDP.
We will publish an app update for traccar that will change the CalAmp port from TCP to UDP.

It sounds like this app could use a reverse proxy with a user editable configuration so the routes and ports can be added manually.
