    Hi.
We have to upgrade our OnlyOffice (OO) to an enterprise Edition.
Can I somehow upgrade my Comunity Edition to it or somehow else run my OO-Enterpriseon the Cloudron-Server?
Otherwise I have to install it on a complete separeted server, right? (suboptimal)

    Thanks and cheers
    Bluxomat

@bluxomat we haven't had this request so far but according to the docs, only a license file need to be placed in a specific location. We currently don't have a test license to validate that, however if you have purchased one, please send a mail to support@cloudron.io and we can work with your license to get you setup and document the process while doing this for other users.

@nebulon I'm also interested in this. But for the home instance.

      https://www.onlyoffice.com/blog/2020/03/integration-edition-at-home-10-users-for-99/

I spoke with their customer service. It seems like you need to actually install the enterprise version first. You can't upgrade the community version.

      From the rep:
      "
You would need to reinstall the instance.
Unfortunately it is not possible to upgrade the community version to the home server just by enclosing a license key
      "

They directed me to this link.

      https://www.onlyoffice.com/download-commercial.aspx

I guess it would be nice to have both version of onlyoffice available to install on cloudron (community and enterprise). It would also be a nice way to support upstream vendors.

        Hi!
Is there anything new on the subject? We would like to buy the Enterprise license soon. So if I got that right, can't we just put the license in the Cloudron-Edition?

@dsime we haven't had access to a license so far to test this, but if the codebase is the same and the license just has to be placed with the app instance, than we can get this to work. Maybe the package needs a few tweaks though.

@nebulon Thank you for your prompt reply. I would just get in touch with you guys when we have a license so that you can test it if that helps you. 🙂

I would love to hear about the experiences of people who upgraded to the enterprise edition — do you like it better than Gdocs, does it run well on your hardware/cloudron, do your users like it, etc!

Just to conclude this here, we have published a separate app package for the enterprise version. That one requires a license to be put into the app.

Hello @nebulon and everybody else! Does the enterprise edition require a license or is it possible to add a license?
I am thinking on using enterprise later and now the community edition. Should I do so? Or is it possible to use the enterprise version with limitations (like the community edition) without a key? That would be great. Otherwise, I don't know yet, why a migration should be complicated. The files are in NextCloud and so someone has just to change the connection to enterprise edition from community edition on the same or different server. Is this so easy? Or do I miss something?

                          Hello @miednr
You can use the community edition and switch to enterprise when ever you feel like it.
There is nothing to migrate since all the data is stored in another app like Nextcloud.
