Webmail Request: Expose sieve filters in the UI

not sure if this is what you were looking for but there is already a sieve filter UI:

With a list of filters in the mailbox settings UI in the webmailer.

There is also an option for Create filter from emails. Email -> Create filter...

I meant the existing filters - I found them in the settings now (I didn't look under accounts)

It doesn't show my existing sieve filters under /home/yellowtent/boxdata/mail/vmail/user@domain.com/sieve/roundcube.sieve

Yeah that is a shortcoming of sieve mostly as webclients build filters which are often incompatible with each other, since sieve is more like a programming language rather than a config setting. Maybe in the future we can build a better language runtime for parsing and editing. This is also the reason nearly all webclients create their own rules file with the client's name.

To be honest this mess is part of why we wanted to build our own here so we have more control over those topics.

One of the things Roundcube has going for it is the ability to edit sieve filters directly (via code which is also nice because it allows AI to generate some complicated ones if needed since like you said it's a practically it's own language). It'd be awesome of the webmail app from Cloudron could do the same.

Right now if I add a filter via the Webmail app from Cloudron, it shows up in Roundcube as a numbered filter. So I can effectively see it and edit it from Roundcube, but I cannot view the filters created in Roundcube from the new webmail app from Cloudron.

Since pretty much all my clients use Roundcube right now and a few of them in particular (mostly the doctors offices) have pretty extensive filtering rules enabled, I think that may be a requirement for my clients before I can look at transitioning them from Roundcube to the more modern Webmail app from Cloudron.

ah I see so just for my understanding your clients manage complex code sieve filters via freeform sieve input in roundcube? So the issue is, if they move away from roundcube to the new mail app, they can't even delete those basically unless they edit the sieve files on the server itself, which well is not acceptable.

I guess editing sieve code files (or rather the sieve folder per mailbox) in raw as some advanced mode UI would solve this?
