Whenever visiting this forum, even after marking everything read, if I refresh the page, I then have an new unread notification on the notification bell. As soon as I click it it disappears, because there isn't any unread notifications. But as soon as I refresh the page or visit the forum again in another tab or browser, it's back again. It annoys me far more than it should, but annoy me it does.

Oh - ha! Actually clicking on this just now seemingly made it go away! Hooray! 😆

I've had the same, we'll see if it keeps sync now.

UPDATE: the icon now seems to update as I view posts that generated notifications. It was stuck before and yes a Chrome based browser issue.

Firefox and / or caching issue? Never have a problem on Safari.

I almost tagged you to say "not Firefox, same thing in Chrome" 🙂

My best guess is an ancient unread notification or something 🤷

Mark all read did the job though (for now at least, but this is the only time it's happened).
