Backups are not removed from aws after retention passed
-
Hi,
I just went to my aws dashboard and I was surprised by the size taken by my Cloudron backups. I told Cloudron to make a backup every day and have a retention of a week.
After further investigations, all my backups still appears in aws, although only the last seven days appears in Cloudron.
It seems that Cloudron just "forget" about backups that passed retention, but does not remove it from AWS. -
Can you attempt a manual backup cleanup from the Cloudron dashboard and then check the backup logs for any errors or best send those logs to support@cloudron.io just to get an overview. It will not purge any old backups if they are not listed anymore, but just to see what is happening.

To close this: backups were never succeeding on the server because of network being very slow. This is now fixed in master and part of next release. Thanks to @CarbonBee for helping figure out the problem.

@carbonbee So, you are saying that there are backups in S3 that are not listed in the Cloudron dashboard? And those backups are not getting removed?
