osTicket 1.17

Any idea when osTicket 1.17 will be available in Cloudron? Microsoft just removed Basic Auth from Office365 and 1.17 has the OAuth2 plugin to solve this particular issue since my imap/smtp have stopped working in 1.16.3. Thanks.

@preston-dmt yes, shortly. There is an upgrade issue in 1.17 where they changed the format of LDAP configuration. Looks like it supports multiple LDAP servers from this release onwards.

So the plugin related database schema has changed, allowing multiple plugin configs per plugin. I am currently working through the migration, since the startup scripts have to purge old plugin configs and upsert settings into the new tables. Given the lack of docs, those things are always a bit of trial and error while watching the database. LDAP is mostly done though, but the new email sending settings have to be figured still.

We will release osTicket 1.17 with a major version bump, since we will remove the auto-configuration of email with that package.
The reason is similar to FreeScout and the likes, they operate on mailboxes which may or may not be on Cloudron, so those should be possible.
Unfortunately osTicket does not support configuration of transactional mail outside of that, so upon installation or update, one has to manually configure mailboxes and then assign one of them for transactional mails.

Finally managed to update osTicket now. It is released as a major version change in the package, which requires manual update. This is because upstream changed the way email is handled and the new package removes the automatic email setup, enabling instances to also use off-Cloudron mailboxes for support ticket handling.
