      Check if your Mastodon accounts are managed by Cloudron. If so, users have to reset their Cloudron accounts password instead. If you created local accounts within Mastodon AND also use Cloudrons user mangement, there is no way to fix this currently as far as I know.

          yep, basically unless you want a closed private network (ie just your Cloudron users) DO NOT use Cloudron user management for Mastodon.

          I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

            @subven i am the only one to use cloudron as admin, all user are making an account on the Mastodon instance.
            Is there realy no way to fix this?
            Okay for app managemend i understand that you must have an admin.
            But to also let members log in this way?

            I got this setting now
            2ebe0f8d-bd06-4b69-bc12-34b9c63be8d6-image.png
            do i have to change this to only me as Operator?

              Nope. Take a look at the thread and upstream issue linked. Nothing you or Cloudron team could do at the moment. Only solution right now would be to rely on Cloudron managed accounts.

                @subven well found some solution.
                Add user exactly as provided in the Mastodon instance in cloudrone user management. After that provide use with this link https://my.mastodon.instance/login.html?returnTo=/%23%2Fapps user recieves mail. Log in once true the cloudrone app. And after that is is okay

                  @redegelde yes, but you will need to do this (add them to your Cloudron as a user) for any user that needs to do this.

                  That may work for your set-up, but doesn't really scale. Personally I'm just going to start again wotha fresh instance that doesn't use Cloudron user management.

                  I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner
