A friend of mine is a DJ with his own "radio station".
Essential Madness Radio - Edgy music by eccentric mindsWhat is your favorite Internet radio station?

Apart from the good old days of working on WinAMP and managing large playlists of mp3s, I enjoy being able to DJ for myself (by queuing up a select list of songs) or relax and have others DJ for me in a social sort of way.
For that I use Turntable FM - https://turntable.fm
For most everything else there's YT (playlists) via other front ends like Invidio.us .

I use this Firefox extension. We don’t have a lot of techno radio stations in the US so having access to EU stations is pretty sweet!
Worldwide Radio is more than 50,000 radio stations from around the world: USA, Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Belgium, Spain, Australia, Brazil, France, Italy, Canada, Mexico, Holland, etc. For more comfort, you can create your favorite list of your favorite online radio stations.

I just stream my own complete music collection to myself using Navidrome

I'm a big fan of soma.fm where it's
easy to find station suitable for work and focusA friend of mine always used to listen to Groove Salad on there

Oh, and I just remembered this post I saw on Mastodon a while ago which lists a load of great genre-based ad-free streams provided by French Public Radio - great stuff!

And a Mastodon friend https://toot-lab.reclaim.technology/@djsundog streams live at https://streaming.live365.com/a18052 which is a generally a good random varied selection
Enjoy!

I had to look up an old Trance station I used to listen to, then these stream aggregators popped up:
https://tunein.com
https://liveonlineradio.netFunny enough Shoutcast is still around and offering a free self-hosted Shoutcast Server (DNAS) software.
