Installation not possible

@lukas that's correct.
Also, if you want to install Cloudron 7.3, start with a fresh VM and
cloudron-setup --version 7.3.6
. I would also suggest to just keep two cloudron installations and just have taiga in the 7.3 one. -

Means I can use my Premium license for 2 Cloudron installations?

@girish said in Installation not possible:
So, you don't need a license for taiga on separate VM.
ok nice. But I need other Server to run Cloudron 7.3 correct?

Hello,
I tried to install Taiga but was imposible.
Do you have some ETA to fix the issue?

Sadly I think this will only be fixed once Taiga themselves update their upstream code to be compatible with a newer version of PostgreSQL
Perhaps chime in here https://github.com/kaleidos-ventures/taiga-back/issues/54
Saying that, I can't help wondering if it's possible for Cloudron to run multiple version of things like PostgreSQL and Redis (Discourse need Redis 7 but Cloudron only has Redis 6) to avoid issues like this? thoughts @staff?

@jdaviescoates it's possible but we have to implement this complicated setup just for one app. (well two, if you include discourse. but discourse will get solved in the upcoming release by upgrading redis).

@habilweb best bet is to install previous version 7.3 of Cloudron on a separate server and install taiga there (
cloudron-setup --version 7.3.6
).Yes, but then you have to pay for 2 VPS

I hit this wall a couple of days ago when I wanted to try out Taiga.
I chimed in the Github issue linked above, but it is open since September 2021... -
I asked on Twitter about this and got this promising reply
Currently, Taiga is only compatible with max version 12. We’ve created this issue 2 in our tracker to make it compatible with Postgres 14. We'll try to include it in the next release.
You can check the status here.

I think this commit fixes the issue?
https://github.com/kaleidos-ventures/taiga-back/commit/a46da85efafe976175847b850fd90d61c7dee633 -
@stefano yes, possibly. In the issue atleast they commented it only fixed migration for existing installation but new installations still doesn't work.
That said, I note that https://tree.taiga.io/project/taiga/issue/5196 says it's done! So, maybe we just have to wait for a new release.

Taiga is back
Unfortunately, old installations cannot be upgaded to PostgreSQL 14 still. Upgrade fails with
ERROR: function array_cat(anyarray, anyarray) does not exist STATEMENT: CREATE AGGREGATE public.array_agg_mult(anyarray) ( SFUNC = array_cat, STYPE = anyarray, INITCOND = '{}' ); restore: stderr from db import: ERROR: function array_cat(anyarray, anyarray) does not exist
This is related to https://postgrespro.com/list/id/3266664.1633045937@sss.pgh.pa.us (also in https://www.postgresql.org/docs/release/14.0/).

Thanks for the update!
Will try it out over the weekend
