@loran the UI is a bit tricky. Basically, the frontend can be used to subscribe to notifications from various backends. So, a single frontend can subscribe to topics from ntfy1.domain.com , ntf2.someotherdomain.com etc.

The CLI only changes the password for the backend.

To change the password in the frontend, go to settings -> Manage Users and update it. Without that, you experience the behavior you noted. The existing topic subscriptions keep spinning.

it seems that it is impossible to add users throught the gui, i do it in the web cli, but when i want to create a new topic for this new user, i have to create it under the admin account and, via the web terminal, give the rw rights to the new user ... it is a little bit heavy.

@girish said in ntfy cannot subscribe after password change:

To change the password in the frontend, go to settings -> Manage Users and update it

where to find this? I don't see it in the frontend web-ui
