Federated Cloud Sharing between 2 Nextcloud apps on the same Cloudron ?
-
Dears forum member,
I've a question regarding Nextcloud Federated Cloud Sharing. Does it work between Nextcloud apps hosted on the same Cloudron ?
I've tried unsuccessfully to share the content of one folder between 2 Nextcloud apps (named DHP and UHS respectively). Both apps are hosted on the same Cloudron and both use Cloudron's LDAP users directory to authenticate their users.
For both apps I've activated the Federation plugin and allowed all file sharing options as per NextCloud forum's instructions.
I also add each app as a trusted server for the other just in case. I could later-on get the status color to green by running occ federation:sync-addressbooks command.
Anyway, when DHP app try to share a folder with an UHS user the folder is listed as shared on DHP side.
But on the UHS side the shared folder has a new type of icon and the content of the folder is not visible..
NB: In the Federation instruction it is mentioned that "Your Apache Web server must have mod_rewrite enabled, and you must have trusted_domains correctly configured in config.php to allow external connections
I could configure the trusted domain in php but I don't know how to enable mod_rewrite (?)...
Thanks for your support and long live Cloudron !

@osobo do you know if federation works between a nextcloud hosted in Cloudron and one outside Cloudron ?
