I've been eyeing some of the features that Metabase only offers on their Pro plan, and just discovered that Pro and Enterprise plans both rely on a different Docker container than the Free plan (metabase/metabase-enterprise vs metabase/metabase).

I presume this would require a separate/dedicated app on Cloudron, and since I don't see it assume it's not an available option. Is there interest or intent to add a second Metabase app (based on metabase/metabase-enterprise) to the Cloudron catalog in the future?

If this belongs in a different category, let me know and I can repost elsewhere...

Looking at the download page where we get the .jar file from https://www.metabase.com/docs/latest/installation-and-operation/running-the-metabase-jar-file it seems the enterprise edition is a separate .jar file. So I think we would have to create a separate package for this. We have to investigate if running that is similar and if there are migration paths.

Not sure if this makes sense in Cloudron context. Per https://www.metabase.com/pricing/ the Enterprise is "Starts at $15k/year" and Pro is 500/month. There is also no way for us to test the enterprise version on Cloudron (without licenses etc).

@sparkwise @stevespaw so you guys plan to be on the Pro plan for 500/month?

@girish We may be interested in pro plan for White label and the Advanced iFrame embeds. We are evaluating a deeper integration of our products with Metabase. I was hoping we can use the same Cloudron installs we have been doing to self host for these clients.

@girish We were exploring the Pro plan, but didn't initially realize that it would require a separate Metabase app and a data migration path. If we were to move forward with this in the future, I could see migrating to the hosted metabase.com solution. I agree that it probably doesn't make sense for Cloudron to package.
