Mautic 5 and Cloudron 8.x suddenly incredibly slow?
-
Is it just me, or it seems like since Mautic 5 and Cloudron 8.x it is incredibly slooow to save things in configuration, sometimes it takes up to a minute? That started almost suddenly, I believe, and it seems like since we updated to Cloudron 8. Before that, as far as I can remember Mautic 5 was still running fine.
And I run A BIG server with a lot of memory so that shouldn't be an issue. Anyone has noticed such thing or would be aware of the reason for this slow saving in configuration?

In our internal instance, everything is instantaneous. Maybe an app restart or server reboot is in order?
Hello Joseph thanks.
When talking about your "internal instance" are you talking about the Cloudron DEMO where I can install and try Mautic? This is what I assume because I doubt very much that you guys are using an 'internal' instance of Mautic, I mean for your own use.Of course I've rebooted already thank you. And, yes I've tried that on the DEMO and indeed it works correctly as it is supposed to, though it was quite fast and as I explained to you on the other thread it might be because on the DEMO the "Configuration" does not really save anything to the database? Maybe you can confirm it right or not?
Now, I'm not a new user of neither Cloudron or Mautic, and I'm actually working on developing a project with which I use Mautic and as such I'm quite often called to get into the software to work with it and as such I'm quite able to recognise the changes that occurred recently, with the Configuration Registration speed nightmare it has become.
And, as a matter of fact, I'm also running another instance with Mautic 4 which was working quite well until the major upgrade to Mautic 5 to which in fact we cannot "upgrade" as it breaks all things. Anyway, to keep the story short I still use both for a matter of transferring things from one app to the other on a pace. However, it's the SAME thing for Mautic 4 as well it's become the same problem. Saving in CONFIGURATION has also become unbelievably slowww there too.
Now, that makes me wonder what could have changed, even slightly, that's new in version 8 that could potentially interfere with database communication, or specifically writing, and that could even be specifically related to Mautic as because of the way it is implemented. ???
I'm also checking on the upstream side, but there does not seem to be any issue in the like reported yet.

@micmc I suggest to join the Mautic forums for the upgrading issues, if you havn't tried it yet: https://forum.mautic.org/
I know that a migration from a version 4 - especially if its been a version 3 or 2 before, can be quite challenging. Database tables have updated charsets nower days and it looks there were some migrations missing in the earlier updates of Mautic. Also it depends if you used the composer method for updating... Lets see continue in the mautic forum.
(I'm talking about non cloudron installations. I have not a lot of experiences of updates via cloudron so far, the ones I did went quite well.)
