What's the best/ easiest/ most reliable way to get a selfhosted install of ElasticSearch up and running somewhere?

Whilst we wait for ElasticSearch to be added as a Cloudron addon, what's the best/ easiest/ most reliable way to selfhost an install of it somewhere?
I'd like to connect at least one of the various instances of Mastodon 4.2 I'm running to it.
