Hi, has anyone dealt with Youtube blocking? Thank you very much for the information. On the app's website, I found this, but if it's doable in Cloudron, I don't know docs.invidious.io

@girish I just put Invidious on another server, so it's running. Will the IPv6 rotation be possible on Cloudroun?

@archos do you mean IPv6 Privacy Extensions ? We try to disable this currently because it doesn't work well with "public servers" (can't have servers keep changing their IP if you also want them to be reachable). But maybe you can enable them on the server, it's not a problem. You should also disable IPv6 in Cloudron's network settings (so it skips ipv6+dns configuration).

@girish On the link I posted. Thanks to IPv6 you can easily escape this block because there are many IP addresses in a single /64 IPv6 range. (18,446,744,073,709,551,616 IP addresses to be precise)

This tutorial will explain how to automatically and periodically rotate your IPv6 address. Also some notes about how to have IPv6 in case your provider does not offer it.
                One more link to Github
It may be used on other projects that depend on YouTube and/or Google (example: Piped or SearXNG).

@timconsidine I don't use Google anywhere, my phone has GrapheneOs and apps almost only from F-droid. I have it set up the same way on my computer.

@girish Hi don't be angry, it's clear to me that you have a lot of work to do, and what do you think, can't you improve the Invidious instance by changing IPv6 addresses? Because if ip address rotation is not possible in cloudron, I will have to put the instance on a separate VPS. Thank you very much

There is an IPv6 rotation tutorial here:
                          https://github.com/iv-org/smart-ipv6-rotator

Would Cloudron be able to create the invidious instance in such a way that it was allocated an arbitrary IP6 address from a range, and the admin could then, when necessary, set the instance to a new, arbitrary IPv6 address? This might be something for you to keep on the lookout for during your IPv6 research, @girish.

Unfortunately, there is another problem with Invidious. It started for me yesterday and today all instances have the problem. They solve it on Github
