Hi, could you please update the application? This should likely resolve the issue with video playback. The issue is discussed here. There are solutions provided, but I'm not sure if they'll work on Cloudron.
    Thank you very much!

We usually only update stable tagged releases and the last is packaged with https://github.com/iv-org/invidious/releases/tag/v2.20240427

At least there they claim to use release tags by now instead of a rolling release, is there any information that they may have changed this strategy?

@nebulon I think they release rolling updates. This update was released today and should temporarily fix the video playback issue. https://github.com/iv-org/invidious/pull/4789

was just checking this here and it seems this is not yet merged upstream yet, so I guess we should at least wait for upstream to merge it into the main repo and then see if we can update the app also

@nebulon I know, but it's at least a temporary solution because most instances, unfortunately, aren't working.

mmm, we cannot possibly release a new package for things which are not merged/released yet.

I think a better solution for the long run is to allow users to modify app containers in a special debug mode. This will help users test upstream patches as well. Will investigate this for next release.

Sure, I understand. I’ll wait. No problem. Still, thank you for the information.
