    Hi,

Tried to install Immich on my Cloudron. App itself installs fine. However, there is a prompt to create an admin user on the first sign in. Once I create this, it doesn't go past this screen. If I try to create again, I have an error saying that an admin user exists. Also, I enabled users from Cloudron to login. So, those are additional to the admin user? Anyone has this issue?

    Thanks.

Yes the admin user is an Immich local user and needs to be created on first run. Do you see any errors in the browser console or in the app side logs during initial admin creation? It seems to work fine here.

@nebulon thanks for checking. Unfortunately, same issue persists. Tried again. No errors in the app side logs. Tried admin-cli --help command but that just throws an error.

Just to double check, as I still cannot reproduce this. Can you install the app on the demo Cloudron at https://my.demo.cloudron.io and see if you hit the same issue? Just to rule out any side-effects from your browser or so.

@nebulon , I am able to install the app and create an account successfully in the https://my.demo.cloudron.io instance. Can't do so in mine. I have the same issue of not being able to go past the admin account creation page. I restarted my server as well to see if it will help. Did not solve the problem.

Ok so does not seem to be an app package issues as such then. Are you sure you cannot see any errors in the app logs or browser console while going through the initial admin account setup?

This may sound unrelated, but if you install immich without the Cloudron usermanagement, does it work then?

On closer look at the logs, looks like there are some permission errors. Did not see any logs when I tried to create an admin account, though. Can I send you the full log through some other channel? Thanks for your help.

I am not quite sure where those errors are from and why its a screenshot. However:

                  1. can you check if the redis container together with immich is up and running?
                  2. seems to be an issue due to 1)
                  3. This is an error I can reproduce and will investigate, however it has nothing to do with the admin creation issue you seem to have
                  4. Looking at the folder name, this comes from the host system and not the immich app instance? Is this while uninstalling or updating the app?
