File upload failed
-
Hey guys,
I just installed Mattermost and everything seems to be fine, until I tried to upload a file. I get an error message under the text box saying: "There was a problem uploading your files." Which does not say that much to investigate. I'm tring to have a look at the mattermost log as well but nothing.. Any idea? Thanks in advance.

Since this is your first message in the forum.
Are you sure you are using the Cloudron App? -
Yes, I checked. Nothing logged when I'm trying to upload just this error message right under the text box, weird.. And is the same if I check MM log, nothing special. That's why so hard to find out, because I don't even know what could be the issue because is not making any error log about this issue

@echat are you using Cloudflare and if so, is the Cloudflare proxy enabled for that subdomain?
And is the file bigger than 100MB?Then it is a common issue because:
The upload body size limit is 100MB on free and pro accounts, 200MB on business and 500MB on Enterprise. Enterprise users only can request and increase.

@joseph a provider it seems
https://gcore.com/

Ok, I found the issue. So if I activate gcore to manage my A record everything seems to be working fine but file uploads not, If I turn it off file upload works. But I still want to use gcore, so is there any misconfiguration..? Any idea? Is the same thing as cloudflare, just not that well known company.
-
Sorry I am not familiar with gcore at all, so I can't give you a reliable answer.
Maybe you can open a ticket with gcore to ask about this behavior for clarification. -
And if is installed like this, MM can use all the available space on my VPS or do I have to do something in the storage option?
-
Thank you.
And how can I find out my SSL certificate and the private key? I think cloudron generate one and gcore another one and they are not the same obviously, but I can paste manually on gcore. So it might fix the issue. Or is there a way to use only gcore and disable cloudron auto SSL?
-
Is gcore also a http proxy (like cloudflare)? It should be OK for each to generate their own certs. Cloudron does not expose the SSL certs and it would not work to put this in gcore anyway since LE certs expire/renew every 3 months. You have to then remember to update certs in gcore every 3 months. Cloudron TLS cannot be disabled.

You can always migrate to a new server see: https://docs.cloudron.io/backups/#restore-cloudron
But you can also use Volume Mounts for extending storage space. https://docs.cloudron.io/volumes/
