Hopefully this would be easy to implement as deployment might be quite similar to Atlassian Confluence?

I could do with this (for the "Jira Software" version).

We've migrated away from it to GitLab - but it would be handy to sore our archives in a Cloudron App instead of of a separate VPS setups as it currently is.

It's still popular with many and probably not going anywhere for those teams embedded with it - but Cloudron is definitely nicer for Sys Admin that lots of separate VMs and LDAP integrations.

We're not here for a long time - but we are here for a good time :)

As Confluence is already within Cloudron, having Jira within there would be great for linking the environments together and using them together.

Have been looking for an easier way to have a Confluence and Jira Server together and if Jira was integrated into Cloudron, it would accomplish something that I've been trying to accomplish for quite some time.

I believe there is already a Docker version of Jira as well that could be used for this: https://github.com/teamatldocker/jira

I remember looking into this. Jira is even easier to automate setup than Confluence I think. It has a feature unattended install - https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/unattended-installation-938846846.html

Lol, that URL was funny to me, a confluence about jira, and your comment of how jira is better than confluence just made me 😁

JIRA Server seems to be End of Life. Guessing they will do the same with Confluence at some point:

@marcusquinn Yeah, Atlassian has been moving in this direction for quite a while now. Their selfhosted versions lag behind the Cloud versions. I went to their conference a couple of years ago trying to get in touch with someone to have automated installs on Cloudron, but it was pretty clear they were already very cloud focused and selfhosted install was not their priority.

Indeed they are moving to cloud but the end of life is 2024 so i think there is a lot of time to use it 🙂

Hopefully you can integrate it so we dont loose time on proper installation. I can make a dirty installation in 5 min, that doesnt count 😉

@girish, was wondering if there is still the possibility of this being packaged into Cloudron as the end of life for Jira Server is 2024 which leaves us with alot of time for this to still be usefull.

Also there for this to compliment Confluence who is already packaged, and looking at the documentation for the install of Jira Server, it seams very similar to Confluence so not sure if this is on the cards yet, but would be good to see if this can be integrated into Cloudron.
