    Hi;

    So I plan to deploy a new Cloudron at Hetzner and my question is should I configure the IPv6 or not ?

    Does the Firewall support IPv6 ?
    Does the Unbound support IPv6 ?
    ...
    @girish & @nebulon no judgement here I just want to know before doing my setup

    @JOduMonT Currently, Cloudron does not support IPv6 and requires an IPv4. You can, of course, configure your server to have IPv6 address additionally and configure DNS AAAA records manually and that should work.

    Goes without saying, we want to add IPv6 support at some point (I know it's 2020!! 🙂 )

    Hey @girish; Cloudron is still probably not IPv6 ready, and from your side you probably saying that because the box don't manage the DNS part, but what if manually
    I add the ipv6 to my Ubuntu
    and create manually all the DNS entry including the reverse DNS

    1. is the firewall part of Cloudron will let the traffic pass ?
    2. is the Docker app will receive the queries properly ?
    3. what about the email part ?

    How you would recommend me to not do that because I'll encounter some issue.

    @jodumont my understanding is that apart from DNS AAAA record automation, everything else should work. If you give it a try and hit something, please leave a note here. I put this in 7.1 roadmap to investigate atleast whats need on Cloudron side.

    @girish I have tested this (just the HTTPS applications though, but that's the majority), and that works fine.

    Not sure about the non-HTTPS applications though, like VPN, AdGuard and so on.

    @jodumont from experience I know MX doesn’t work because the mailserver doesn’t respond to IPv6. That way we’ve lost some mails before we discovered that.
