    Currently if you want to automatically import bank transactions into Cloudron hosted Firefly III you need to run and manage an instance of Spectre importer.

    There is a docker image for this application maintained by the application's developers which will hopefully make integrating this easier.

    Having the ability to host Spectre importer and Firefly III self hosted on Cloudron would allow it to work as a replacement to services like Mint.

      @staff This is a must have. Firefly is essentially neutered without this addon.

      Can we add this to a roadmap?

          @ChristopherMag True, very much needed. Otherwise there isn't many ways to bring over the data as banks in my country do not have wide integrations, but it has been integrated with SaltEdge.

            Hi - Thanks @ChristopherMag for the suggestion.
            It seems as all importers have been gathered under the Firefly Data Importer app aka FIDI It think it would make sense to rename the topic accordingly as I was unable to find it upon an initial search in the whislist.

            With the continuous Firefly development, I am of the view that this would also be very much of benefit to the Firefly on Cloudron package.

                @privsec I can't find the project anymore. https://github.com/firefly-iii/spectre-importer is a dead link.

                  Ah, looks like this got renamed to Firefly III Data Importer https://docs.firefly-iii.org/data-importer/ . @privsec I haven't looked into it this but maybe an option is to run the docker container in a separate server.

                    Hi all, is there still progress here?
                    I found that the importer is installable together with firefly. Is this an option?

                      nudge on this? I agree with @privsec -- without some kind of bank feed importer, firefly is considerably less useful.

                        It's not clear to me why the importer is a separate standalone project. Does anyone know why Firefly-III does not just include it in the upstream code itself?
