          Perfect, that was the link I needed. I looked up Samir and it said he had zero posts so I couldn't find him talking about it. I'll message him and see if he responds when I get to to Oodo. Thank you! ☺️

            @Lonk I assume you've already clicked on https://git.cloudron.io/altsyst/odoo-ce-app which was the repository that was being worked on?

              @jdaviescoates Yup yup, I'm just an idiot and was confused about who Samir was and didn't even notice. 😅 But I love nodebb let you take me to the exact post I needed to see.

                Samir is a long time user of cloudron. He runs a coop. I will try to get him to join this forum and maybe give some idea on the status of the repo. Afaik, he uses his odoo install on cloudron.

                        @girish nice one thanks. I don't read French and not translated yet, but looks/ sounds great and very similar to the hugely successful and inspiring https://smart.coop/

                          Hi,

                          Samir there 🙂

                          Nice to see some interest on this project.

                          Yes I have a working odoo cloudron app instance for a year now. It's working well so far, and connected to the cloudron ldap server.

                          I will update the github repo with my latest changes, and will include a quick tested unmaintained github repo for odoo 12. For people who want to remix it, you have to modify the odooNNCE_install.sh, I'm using this MIT licenced script :
                          https://github.com/Yenthe666/InstallScript

                          I had to change this script to make it fit with the cloudron packaging system, so feel free to fork the repo, I'll put my mods in MIT licence too.

                          Have fun 🙂

                          PS: @jdaviescoates yes, we are running a similar setup than smart.coop. Smart is a generalist coop ; Babel.coop is a holacracy-powered self-organized coop. And the coop is focused on helping orgs to help themselves implementing self-managed org with the right digital "opensource-flavor" tools.

                            @samir Much appreciated!

                            My feeling with Odoo, which is unusual, is it is often better to stay one full version behind if one wants the wider availability or plugin options where they are not all updated to the latest version as quickly.

                            That carries further back as well, so it may be best to design with it in mind to have a version selection in the App somehow, whereby other Odoo users may wish to migrate to Cloudron managed hosting but not to the latest version of Odoo given the sensitivity of ERP systems.

                            🙇 to your good work, the world thanks you!

                              Sounds great! (although I'm personally a bigger fan of sociocracy than holacracy, but that's a whole other discussion 😉 ).

                              Would love to see a list of tools you're offering/ recommending!
