Having seen a Moodle update pushed here, I decided to check on one of my Cloudrons. There were no App updates on any of the apps.

After going into Moodle App Config > Updates and clicking the Check for Updates button, I immediately received an email for 7 other Apps that had an update but never notified (along with the Moodle update).

That suggests I'd never get updates ;-/

They're set to check at 3am every day.

Are backups made fine? We have had an issue with the cron module in the past, maybe the update checker job got stuck?

@nebulon yes, backups were happening daily.

Do we need more watchdogs for important services?

I wonder if this is related to the DNS issues in the other thread. Maybe some sporadic issue is causing our update checker to fail.

@girish I noticed the same issue. Although I checked right after your upgrade to 3.10 so it might be delayed? I manually checked for updates anyways.

@girish this was a different Cloudron than the DNS MX issue which is still persisting ;-/
