Do you know a way to embed a secure and public chat in a web page? Is there a Cloudron application (in the store or in development) that allows this?

Maybe, I could use a wordpress site with a plugin associate with a service. Ideally an app Cloudron service 😉

@jeau rocket.chat has a live chat thing you can add to websites. They call it omnichannel

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

They used to also have this WP plugin - https://wordpress.org/plugins/rocketchat-livechat/ but it seems it is not available for download anymore (no reason provided).

@jeau I have never found a self-hosted app that was good at this. We ended up using https://crisp.chat . It's the only free one we found that handled correctly the case when no agent was currently online

@girish I tried the plugin a while back and it didn't work, but copy pasting the script from Rocket.Chat works fine.

FWIW, we used to use the live chat plugin on cloudron.io for a long time. It worked very well. We only removed it because we got constantly contacted and it was hard for us to keep up. We decided to keep it to email and this forum instead 🙂

👍 for Rocket.chat currently being the best option I know of in Cloudron. https://brandlight.org if you want to see it on a front-end.
